food studies community across India and South Asia. Our vision is multifaceted, aiming to
understa`nd the current state of food studies research in the region and encourage a dynamic,
interdisciplinary approach that explores the complex links between food and society. We are
building a collaborative community by bringing together scholars and practitioners, fostering a
space for exploration through an interactive platform that celebrates food studies in both
academic and creative ways. This platform also serves as a central hub, circulating vital
information for food studies scholars, including calls for papers, seminar links, key texts, and
resources like grants and fellowships specifically designed to empower food studies research in
the global South. The network actively promotes rigorous research practices and
